Learn, create and make your own fresco painting with one magic ingredient: interaction! 2.5 hours private lab with an expert restorer!
- 2 hrs for the tour + 1.5/2 hrs for the lab. PLEASE NOTICE: transfer time and snack time are to be considered in between.

THIS TOUR INCLUDES:
- A 2hrs guided tour to the Vatican Museums: Sistine Chapel, gallery of candelabra, gallery of maps, gallery of tapestries.
- A 1.5/2hrs fresco workshop led by a fresco artist
- All you need to make your own fresco.
- Exclusions: Taxi transfer from the Vatican to the workshop, Vatican Museums admission tickets, Snacks
- This package can also be booked separately dividing the 2 experiences (tour and lab)

Visit the Sistine Chapel and create your own fresco with a painter in a Fresco's Workshop!
Those of us visiting for the first time the Sistine Chapel and admiring Michelangelo’s frescoes with their upturned nose have thought: “but how did he do it?!” Well, let’s find out together, in fact … let’s do it together! Let’s jump into a 360′ artistic experience that will leave the whole family stunned!
Let’s learn about ancient art by visiting the Sistine Chapel together and then let’s move to a painter’s workshop to make our own fresco!
We will go through a unique experience: children will be enchanted and grown ups will be kids again! discover the secrets of the amazing art of Michelangelo and Raphael and then learn how to do it yourself!
So, let’s begin visiting the Sistine Chapel with an expert guide!
Michelangelo will have no more secrets for us!
This experience will lead us to the discovery of Michelangelo’s wonderful frescoes: we will visit together the Sistine Chapel, accompanied by the stories and myths told by an enthusiastic guide; together we will unveil the secrets that lie behind the creation of the most fascinating masterpieces of our era.
What is a fresco? How did he do it? How long did it take to paint it? Is it true that he used to sleep on the scaffolding…and how did he get there? Didn’t his neck hurt? And weren’t the colors dripping in his eyes?!
These are just some questions your guide will answer to, while telling you the stories of the Genesis, of the sibyls and of the ancient oracles. When your eyes will be full of beauty, it will be time to … move to the hands!
Then, let’s move to a painter’s workshop and make our own fresco!
Let’s get our hands dirty …by brushes and colors like 500 years ago!
We will visit a real painter’s workshop and learn together how to make a fresco! Guided by the expert hands of a real painter we will create a fresco just as Michelangelo would have done 500 years ago! From the preparatory drawing to the real painting on the still FRESH plaster (and hence the name!) We will complete a small work of art using the ancient techniques and we will bring it home with us!

Your children will be involved in a unique experience that will make them forget, for a couple of hours, screens, tablets, and keyboards and will immerse them, with the body and mind, in a new, fun and stimulating universe.
Grown ups and children will not resist the joy of learning while having fun and returning children for a few hours!

Your guide is LICENSED, LOCAL and specialized in ROME and VATICAN HISTORY.
Dress code: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks.
IMPORTANT: Tickets and headphones (compulsory in the Vatican Museums for more than 5 people, price 1.5 euro each) are not included in the guide fee.
Vatican Museums skip the line tickets price:
- ADULTS: 21 euros (17 € + 4 € for the reservation fee).
- CHILDREN under 18 y.o or students under 26 y.o.: 12 euros (€8 + 4€ reservation fee).
Buy your tickets and save your money!! The online procedure is very easy: after paying the deposit to secure the tour, we will send you the online booking procedure to get your admission tickets.
From June to October and extra fee of 15% will be added for last minute requests (3 days before the tour date).
This package is composed by 2 different experiences that are bookable also separately.
We run only private tours.
We don’t run small groups.
We can accommodate time/day request according to our guides’ and entry tickets availability.

Starting price for a private tour 2,5 hrs for 2 adults: 350 euro + tickets but definitive price is provided *only* upon request.
