THIS TOUR INCLUDES:
Kids: this walk in the squares of rome is for you! Ready for the exploration of the most famous monuments of the city on the hunt for secret clues and hidden animals? A super entertaining guide will accompany you and your family and you will not yawn once!
It starts from a gigantic square called PIAZZA NAVONA! A stunning place with not one neither two fountains but… Three! Each of them hides animals somewhere but the most beautiful of all has an incredible story: ready to learn the name? We are talking about the Fountain of the Four rivers designed by the famous artist: Gian Lorenzo Bernini! Gian Lorenzo hid many exotic animals amongst the rocks, will you manage to find them all? Beyond the sound of the water and the turists’ voices, don’t miss to peek at the paintings of the artists spreaded everywhere in the square and inside the oldest toys shop in town. A clue to find it? Look for… PINOCCHIO!
What is this strange place with the round roof and huge columns? A temple? Maybe a church? Both the things together! And how old is it? More than one can imagine! And why is the floor slanted and full of holes? Well, if you cannot guess after the hints you will receive from your guide, she will reveal it! The Pantheon* is like a time machine, as soon as you’ll be inside, you will be transported back to the ancient city of Rome and its rituals! Will you be able to hug the columns with two arms only?
Last part of the tour will be dedicated to the Trevi Fountain** and, if you will not be too tired, to the Spanish Steps! But not before having tasted our famous GELATO! Let’s take a break to recharge our batteries and let’s start exploring again!
We will not let you go without tossing a coin inside the most famous fountain in the world! Why? Because we want you to come back to Rome again someday! But this is not the only thing we have to do there, there are little secrets to find out, don’t get distracted!
The tour will end in a Square that takes the name from a European nation and the name starts with “S”! Swiss? No! Sweden? No! Spain? BINGO! Last stop: Spanish Steps.
We will encounter a fountain as usual, with a unique characteristic that we are sure you’ll love, but the real queen of the place is a very very very long staircase! Will you have the strengh to climb it until the top and guess how many steps there are? Let’s Try!
After this adventurous walk in the center of Rome, we are sure you will want to know even more! Maybe becoming little gladiators at the Colosseum? Or discover who was Michelangelo Buonarroti in the Vatican Museums? Have fun!
*PANTHEON: Due to the new regulations for visiting the Pantheon, which separate time slots for visitors with or without licensed guides, access to the monument may take place independently. In these cases, your guide will tell you all about the Pantheon from the outside, and then you’ll go inside to explore at your own pace before meeting up again with your guide afterwards. If this arrangement applies to your tour, you will be informed at the time of booking.
** THE TREVI FOUNTAIN: a temporary walkway allows the visitors to access the fountain. The access is limited and monitored, therefore it is possible there will be lines to be able to see the monument during the restoration.

EXCELLENT Based on 300 reviews Posted on Carla Buhl-de VriesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We made 2 private tours with Nicole: the baths of Caracalla and the Aqueducts. We were very happy with this friendly young woman, who knows a lot about ancient history. We will certainly join again, with Nicole, whenever we get back to Rome again!Posted on Gregg JacobTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Francesca was OUTSTANDING! Her energy and enthusiasm were palpable and contagious. Her knowledge of both art and history had all of us (aged 14-82) engaged for the entire tour. I highly recommend Joy of Rome and without question would request Francesca!!!Posted on Caroline Harding-EdgarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We booked the Coliseum tour and the Rome Highlights tour for our family of 4 (girls aged 8 and 5), and would thoroughly recommend. Our guides (Francesca and Grace) were energetic, engaging and informative, and tailored the tours perfectly to our girls' interests and energy levels. The girls loved it and learned a lot - and so did we!Posted on Deepti AvasthiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very nice tourPosted on Steven BalitTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic private tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel with our guide, Sarah from Joy of Rome. She clearly knew her way around this remarkable part of Rome and shared her deep knowledge with enthusiasm and clarity. Thanks to her insights, we gained a much better understanding of Vatican City and its significance to the Eternal City. Though it was only a two hour tour, it was incredibly rewarding, absolutely worth it and highly recommended.Posted on Jerek PetrousTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joy of Rome is an exceptional tour company. We had great experiences, but Serena was seriously the best guide we’ve ever had in all the countries we’ve been to. Can’t recommend her enough!Posted on Andrea McCormickTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fabulous tour with Francesca - she was great with kids, kept them engaged for 2 hours, we all learnt lots and had a really great time. Thanks for making our trip to the Colosseum so memorable!Posted on Noelle BrennanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Angela gave us a fabulous tour of the Forum, Palatine Hill and the Pantheon. It was fantastic! Her knowledge and enthusiasm was far beyond our expectations! I would highly recommend her!Posted on Carolyn GiererTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Joy of Rome and our tour guide Nicole made our Colosseum experience a great one. I couldn’t have imagined taking a 4 and 5 year old into the colosseum without her. She brought a cute book, had print outs that my kids loved (and she let us take home) and completely curated the experience for families with young kids. 10/10 recommend if you are traveling with kiddos.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
