Where does this Food Tour takes place in Rome?
Your food experience starts in Campo de’ Fiori! Here the old bakeries prepare some of the best pizza in Rome and a daily market gathers vendors with their colorful stands and goods. From there we’ll walk until the Jewish Ghetto, a mix of lovely houses around ancient Roman remains and home to the oldest jewish community in Europe: this place is famous for delicious fried artichokes (want to know more? Check this out), traditional Jewish food and above all for its lively atmosphere.
After it, we’ll cross the river walking on a short bridge built to connect the Ghetto to the Tiberine island, one of the most romantic scenario in town and we will arrive in the bubbling Trastevere, famous for its small Trattorias where real romans meet for dinner and chat until late.
Ready to try the most delicious Risotto balls (we call them supplì), fresh made pasta accompanied by red or white wine in a local Trattoria?
We’ll finish our tour walking in Trastevere and savoring one of the best artisanal Gelato of the area. You are starving already, aren’t you?
What we will do during the Food Tour Private Experience?
We will visit bakeries, groceries, bars and cafes to taste local specialities like the artichokes and the Supplì but also cured salami, cheese, pizza and selected wines.
We will seat in local trattorias to eat fresh made pasta with Carbonara, Cacio and Pepe or Amatriciana. You will discover the roman dessert Pastarella and savor a delicious gelato like few others.

This tour is perfect for those that want to eat selected food, delicacies and excellent ingredients: we are especially proud of the artichokes, pizza and roman cuisine you will savor in our tour. On the other hand, these are not just tastings, but regular portions that will satiate also the hungriest! Our food tastings serve as a meal. You will pay only what you decide to eat.
Also, Roman cuisine can be overwhelming so we have planned the tour to be the right amount of walk and food.
